Yes - during the installation of M-DVD.Org V2 you may import your data from version 1.
You can also open version 1 databases later at any time.

The installation of M-DVD.Org V2 takes app. 5 minutes (incl. DVD-Archive).

Please uninstall any version of M-DVD.Org Ver. 1.x from your computer before installing the new version. You will not loose your data.
If you have installed a test version of M-DVD.Org V2 you may install the full version immediately. The details you have entered and your settings will be saved.

Yes - You may install the full version of M-DVD.Org V2 on up to three PCs.
You can also access the same database from different PCs.

You need to register your installation to get access to the online functionalities like CDDB, DVDDB, CoverDB and to obtain DVD-Archive updates.

To install the DVD-Archive retrospectively please proceed as follows:
1. Please install M-DVD.Org V2 again. During the installation please select the option "Install DVD-Archive". Then update the database path in the settings on the flag "DVD-Archive".
2. Having the full version of M-DVD.Org V2 you may copy the DVD-Archive from the installation CD to any of your drives or into any folder. You will find the DVD-Archive in the subfolder "\OfflineDVDDB\" of the installation CD. Then update the database path in the settings on the flag "DVD-Archive".

No - M-DVD.Org V2 can read out hard disks, network drives, CDs, and DVDs. The found multimedia files are incorporated into the database automatically. With just a few clicks M-DVD.Org V2 enters the data and downloads missing information and covers from the internet.

Data can be entered automatically using AutoAdding, CDDB, DVDDB, CoverDB but also manually in the details view. These functions will be explained below under the corresponding modules - audio management, video management and cover management.

With MultiChange you may change details of multiple datasets simultaneously thus saving a lot of time maintaining the data.

MultiChange enables you to change details in multiple datasets simultaneously.
For that purpose you have to select the datasets you want to change first and then you have to activate MultiChange. All the changes you do before the next saving will be applied to all the selected datasets.

M-DVD.Org V2 can read and write tags of all supported formats. Depending on your settings changes of dataset details in M-DVD.Org V2 are saved automatically in the original file. You may if you wish do this manually, too.

With a double click you may start any data in M-DVD.Org with the corresponding player you have set regardless whether the data is on your hard disk, a network drive, CD, or DVD.

There is a 'classic' search available and besides that there are filters. These filters summarize datasets accoring to certain criterias e.g. genre or actor. Filters are activated and deactivated with a mouse click.

There is an integrated loan manager to note comfortably which friend has borrowed a CD or DVD. The loan status shows whether your property has already been returned or not. The loan history provides you with information on who has borrowed what and when.

|
M-DVD.Org V2 supports the management of audio CDs and audio files with these formats: MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, MPC, APE, MP4, WAV

Multimedia files are imported into M-DVD.Org V2 by the function "AutoAdding".
For that purpose your hard disk is read to find corresponding media files. These files are recognized and then automatically imported into the database.

Audio CDs are imported into M-DVD.Org V2 by the function "CDDB".
For that purpose a key for the CD is calculated. With this key the CD is recognized online and imported automatically into the databse.

The function CoverDB downloads the details for a certain cover from the internet and incorporates it into the database.

| Questions around the DVD-Archive |
|
M-DVD.Org V2 enables you with DVD-Archive to search offline in a catalogue for DVDs and to import them quickly and easily into your video management.
|

Upon delivery the DVD-Archive contains information on more than 25,000 DVDs + Blu-ray Discs, HD DVDs and WMV HD. Since new DVDs are being puplished weekly it is necessary, however, to update the archive from time to time thus keeping it up-to-date.
To update the DVD-Archive please go to the menu [Tools] - [Update DVD-Archive].
